COMPUTERXPLORERS
bfa Associate Member
Preparing children for a technology driven future
ComputerXplorers is all about having fun with technology - not just computers but also digital art, rocketeering, digital microscopes, film making, robotics, coding and programming and much, much more.
The sessions provide a blend of tangible education and technology skills delivered in a fun-filled package for children from the ages of 3 to 13. Weekly parent updates keep parents engaged and informed of progress and suggest additional activities for their children at home.
The ComputerXplorers sessions run in a variety of settings – from after school, lunchtime and breakfast clubs to pre-schools, holiday programmes and home schools too. Payment for classes is usually from the parents of the children attending and is paid in advance. In some instances schools fund or subsidise classes or local authorities subsidise holiday programmes.
Specialist ICT or Computing classes during school core curriculum time are also part of the service. This improves STEM skills (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths). They provide the instructor, the lesson plans, the software and an array of technology peripherals. The programmes can be tailored to individual requirements and are always fun, educational and engaging.
ComputerXplorers operates across the UK and operates worldwide as Computer Explorers. It has been established for more than 10 years and has taught over 1.5M classes. Each ComputerXplorers business in the UK delivers an extensive range of programmes using prepared lesson plans and curriculum developed by educational specialists. It is a "work from home" franchise so overheads are low.

BRITISH FRANCHISE ASSOCIATION
In 1977, the major franchise companies in the UK decided to set up their own association. The British Franchise Association (bfa), was formed to act in the interests of the industry as a whole in assessing and accrediting franchising companies as those which meet its criteria for the structure of the franchise business, the terms of the contract between franchisor and franchisee, the testing of the system and its success as a franchise.
On this site, we only feature franchisors who are either:
Full Members of the bfa
Full Members are established franchised businesses with a proven trading and franchising record. They are prepared to have their reputation examined by the bfa, and have an established network of franchisees.
or
Associate Members of the bfa
Associate Members have proven their ability to launch and support at least one franchised outlet for 12 months and are now in the business of building their network. There will be few franchisees whose experience you can research and a short period of time over which the business has been tested.
