Right at Home provides professional care when a person needs it most. They don't just provide essential care needs - they do all they can to ensure their clients can enjoy living at home - and going out - in a safe environment, enjoying strong relationships with well-suited carers.
Providing care means:
Listening to the client's wishes and preferences, as well as professionally assessing the needs.
Keeping meticulous records which clients and those close to them can access easily.
Being at the end of the phone 24/7 and able to respond to needs at short notice.
Staying in close contact with the other people who support the client - both family and friends and other health professionals.
Supporting the client to continue doing the things they enjoy, while feeling safe and secure and enjoying the independence and comfort of living at home.
The services offered range from simple companionship to complex personal care needs; from 60 minutes to 24/7 live-in care.
Right at Home don't believe it's possible to deliver quality care in 15 minutes, so they don't offer 15 minute visits. In fact the preferred minimum care visit is one hour. This allows the time to listen to clients and get to know them well, to complete tasks properly and to observe any changes in their health or well-being and respond accordingly.
Right at Home was founded by Allen Hager in the USA in 1995. He talked to dozens of families to understand the different kinds of challenges they faced and what kind of care would help. Then he became a certified nursing assistant so he could experience the needs of people who were still living in their home but who needed some professional assistance. Right at Home now serve thousands of clients across the United States, the United Kingdom and the rest of the world, including China.
Ken Deary opened Right at Home's first UK office in Preston, Lancashire in late 2010 and began recruiting franchisees in mid-2011. There are now over 30 branches. They have won many awards.

One thing they don't require is healthcare experience - they specialise in teaching this business to those without a healthcare background.
Franchisees come from a wide variety of educational and business backgrounds. For some, this is their first venture into ownership. Others have run multimillion-pound businesses before. Within the network, one can find franchisees who were once in property, hotel management, business management, event planning, engineering, chemistry and accounting. People who have management and basic business experience - who understand the value of a good system. The operating systems are proven to help owners grow their business.
Franchise fee
In addition to their initial Franchise Fee of £32,000 plus VAT, you will require working capital between £70,000 and £90,000 .70% of the total can be provided by a bank.

The British Franchise Association (bfa), was formed to act in the interests of the industry as a whole in assessing and accrediting franchising companies as those which meet its criteria for the structure of the franchise business, the terms of the contract between franchisor and franchisee, the testing of the system and its success as a franchise.

Full Members are established franchised businesses with a proven trading and franchising record. They are prepared to have their reputation examined by the bfa, and have an established network of franchisees.

Associate Members of the bfa
Associate Members have proven their ability to launch and support at least one franchised outlet for 12 months and are now in the business of building their network. There will be few franchisees whose experience you can research and a short period of time over which the business has been tested.
