SURECARE
bfa Associate Member
SureCare is an experienced provider of care with services for the very young through to those in later life
Established in 1994 as a provider of domiciliary care, SureCare has expanded in recent times and now offers its clients a comprehensive range of care services. Their services have broadened out to include personal care and support, home services, childcare including babysitting, crèche facilities and a nanny agency, and respite and holiday care. They provide clients with all of the care services they need for life’s journey.
The network of franchises are working every day with clients ranging from babies through to the elderly and disabled.
Among the services now offered by SureCare franchisees are:
Home Services - DIY, gardening, making the beds and changing linen, ironing, shopping, etc., as well as providing clients with companionship.
Personal Care and Support - helping people get up in the morning, go to bed at night, washing and bathing and getting dressed, etc.
Childcare - babysitting, nanny services through to mobile crèches for weddings and other events
Holiday and Respite Care - providing people with the opportunity to give their regular carer a break or simply to be able to go on holiday with a care companion.
Dementia and Alzheimer’s care.
There are therefore multiple revenue streams.
SureCare is fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and all carers and employees are subject to enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance.
Basic Information:
Skills and knowledge required
A SureCare franchise is a management franchise so no previous care experience is required. Franchise owners have come from many different sectors such as leisure and tourism, teaching, nursing, and IT. They look for good people skills and management experience. They will help you to employ a registered care manager who is responsible for the day to day care operations whilst you will be responsible for growing and managing the business.
Franchise fee
A SureCare franchise costs £36,000 (exc. VAT) however they estimate an investment requirement of between £70,000 – £90,000 which includes working capital and the franchise fee. Working Capital covers the operating cost prior to breakeven. High street banks will loan up to 70% of the total investment required.

BRITISH FRANCHISE ASSOCIATION
In 1977, the major franchise companies in the UK decided to set up their own association. The British Franchise Association (bfa), was formed to act in the interests of the industry as a whole in assessing and accrediting franchising companies as those which meet its criteria for the structure of the franchise business, the terms of the contract between franchisor and franchisee, the testing of the system and its success as a franchise.
On this site, we only feature franchisors who are either:
Full Members of the bfa
Full Members are established franchised businesses with a proven trading and franchising record. They are prepared to have their reputation examined by the bfa, and have an established network of franchisees.
or
Associate Members of the bfa
Associate Members have proven their ability to launch and support at least one franchised outlet for 12 months and are now in the business of building their network. There will be few franchisees whose experience you can research and a short period of time over which the business has been tested.
